The Information panel shows the result of operations performed through the user interface during editing, data validation, and storage in Active Directory.
When changes are made in AD, they are logged to the Windows event log in the Applications and Services Logs\ADOne - Active Directory One section, where, in addition to information about the change, the user name of the person who performed the operation is also shown.
Grid Columns
A record containing the following fields is recorded for each event:
•Severity: the level of severity which can be: information, Warning or Error. The Information Panel grid can be filtered by severity level using the appropriate buttons in the title bar.
•Reference: if the record in the Information Panel is related to a record in the main grid it shows a button that allows you to find the record in the main grid.
•Information: a description of the event, if it is a process the elapsed time is also shown.
•Date: date, hour, minutes and seconds indicating the exact time of the event.
•Category: shows the type of operation that occurred, the event types are as follows:
•Generic: all operations that occur during validation and do not cause changes in Active Directory; for this category, records are not logged in the Windows event log.

Error or warning management
When using the Store in Active Directory command, the information panel reports chronologically the results of validation and storage operations. If a warning or error occurs and it relates to one or more records in the main grid, the Reference (Ref.) column shows a button that allows you to find the record that caused the specific error or warning. You can also use the Main Grid filter button that allows you to display only records with errors or warnings in the main grid.
Multi-monitor management
If you are working from a workstation with multiple monitors, it is possible to use the Information Panel on a secondary monitor to facilitate operations if you are managing many users or groups. The Information Panel window can be separated from the main window and can be used in floating mode by simply dragging it from the title bar.
